EDITOR'S NOTE
Dear devotees, friends and well-wishers,
In front of you is the first issue of the Bulletin in 2021.
All news, as well as related photos, which you think are worth publishing, you can send at: zagreb.iskcon@gmail.com.
We started the year with the Thanksgiving Festival which we divided into two parts, the first two Saturdays of the month.
The first part is marked by thanksgiving for the general services and the distribution of gifts to all the devotees who in some way participated in them in the year that is behind us.
We have reserved the second part of the Festival exclusively for sankirtan devotees, ie those devotees who are most dedicated to sharing the books of Srila Prabhupada and those who directly helped them in this.
Speaking of gratitude again, we will take this opportunity to thank all of you for being with us for 19 months reading these issues.
Our young lineup of preachers, who are actively involved in maintaining the very successful Krishna Lounge program, held “additional classes” in January at a “guest field” in Karlovac with fellow faculty of bh. Matko.
Krishna is Omniscient and everything is under His supervision, and from now on some of it is under video surveillance.
Two cameras have been set up, one in the entrance hall and the other in the temple room which will be there solely for security reasons.
In January, two lectures from the cycle on Japa meditation were held under the guidance of Vaikuntha-murti dasa.
The response was a pleasant surprise as the lecture was attended mainly by new and young people (about 15 of them), just interested in Krishna consciousness.
After the formal end of the lecture, the participants had the opportunity to experience kirtan experience with temple devotees, followed by prasadam and a two-hour discussion on various topics from Krishna consciousness.
Two more lectures are planned for February.
A very promising initiative has been launched to establish a special department, largely independent of the temple, in charge of caring for, maintaining, advancing and increasing the opportunities for serving Sri Sri Gaura-Nitai.
Krsna-kanta das is the main responsible person and coordinator of this project who convened a meeting in the temple where all present were presented with ideas, plans, opportunities, etc. The response was very successful, and among those present were several members outside Zagreb.
New gatherings of devotees are scheduled, as well as, among other things, systematic education led by Mayapur-lila devi dasi.
We wish them all Krishna's blessings for the most successful service!
The first MSF was held in 2021 under the leadership of Hema-gauri devi dasi and Bhagavat dasa.
26 devotees took part in the harinam on Ban J. J. Square, and about 50 books and about 100 biscuit packets were distributed. Such a large number of gathered devotees was very attractive to all the people of Zagreb.
The devotees took a simple but extremely satisfying snack-prasadam on Zrinjevac.
