Along with harinam, sankirtan and festival in the temple, we celebrated the Appearance day of Lord Caitanya.
Second in line, ‘Be a Monk’ program attracted two completely “new” people and a few “old ones”. As a reminder, the program aims to attract those interested in a more transcendental experience of practicing Krishna consciousness in the temple. Participants thus had the opportunity to attend all temple programs, do service, chant, participate in several workshops and make friends with other devotees and monks in the temple.
In March, we held the first two courses in the School of Bhakti Yoga lecture series. The lecturers were Vaikuntha-murti das and Patita-pavana das.
In the coming weeks and months, we plan to continue with a variety of interesting lectures and subjects.
During March, two nama-hatta congregational programs (Vaisnava Mandala) were held at the Joyful Kitchen. A dozen devotees work in the narrow organization of the service. The lecture is subsequently available on the YouTube channel 'Vaisnava Mandala', as well as the Facebook page of the same name.
In March, we went out to the harinam almost every day.
Especially powerful and attractive were the evening harinams on Saturdays.
In one such harinam, at one time about 40 devotees and passers-by took an active part. The next day, at Sunday Feast, the temple was visited for the first time by six completely new people.
In March, 750 transcendental books of Srila Prabhupada were distributed.
The day of complete renovation of the parking lot is getting closer. The current phase is the purchase of cubes that will be paid by the end of April. The amount is HRK 85,000 and as we wrote earlier, all funds have been collected. It takes a little more than a month to make the cubes, because after they are poured into the molds, they have to "mature", and they are sandblasted and further processed. With that in mind, work on the parking lot could begin in early June. In the next issue, we will inform you about the next stages, which include the preparation of substrates, laying curbs and other works. The contractor is an authorized and recommended company that gives a 20-year warranty on its work.
